My art practice focuses on the conversation between the conscious and subconscious perception of my life and the world around me.
Drawing has always been an escape from reality for me and a way to process it. As my skills developed, I learned to let my subconscious take over, letting works emerge on their own. I quickly realised that, like in a dream, characters, symbols, and images weren’t random, but formed an intricate message to myself.
Selected works are sent into a second life, where they are no longer mine alone, but in contact with the world. I open the conversation by testing the effects they have on people, which then feeds back to me, deepening the resonance of my subconscious. This step is central and plays a big part in integrating the messages into my life. It often feels like standing naked in a room full of staring strangers, but it is this curiosity and honest vulnerability that I want to bring to the table. I set my works into the world aspiring to contribute to the everchanging flow of life. By staying true to this practice, I hope to inspire others to freely experience their lives and to be more playful in how they handle their ego.
